VITAS Hospice Services, LLC Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (December 9, 2025) – Federman & Sherwood is investigating a large-scale cybersecurity incident involving VITAS Hospice Services, LLC, as disclosed to HHS-OCR.
VITAS reported that 319,177 individuals were impacted by a Hacking/IT Incident involving a network server, submitted to HHS-OCR on November 24, 2025.
As a healthcare provider, VITAS is required under HIPAA to notify affected individuals, mitigate potential harm, and implement enhanced safeguards.
