Tungsten Automation Corporation (formerly Kofax, Inc.) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (August 25, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces that it is investigating a data breach involving Tungsten Automation Corporation (formerly Kofax, Inc.), headquartered in Irvine, California.
According to the company’s notice, on May 27, 2025, Tungsten Automation detected suspicious activity on its internal IT networks. The company immediately launched an investigation, engaged third-party cybersecurity experts, and notified law enforcement. The investigation confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed Tungsten’s internal IT systems and obtained certain files during May 2025. A subsequent review of the files determined that they contained sensitive personal information, including names and other personal identifiers.
While Tungsten Automation has not reported any evidence of misuse of the compromised information to date, it has begun notifying affected individuals. As a precaution, the company is offering impacted individuals two years of complimentary Experian® IdentityWorks membership, which provides credit monitoring, identity theft protection, and up to $1 million in identity theft insurance. Impacted individuals must enroll by November 28, 2025.

- Other sensitive information
