Tuggle Duggins P.A. Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

February 10, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving Tuggle Duggins P.A., following a notification filed with the Maine Attorney General.

According to the filing, Tuggle Duggins P.A. experienced an external system breach involving hacking that occurred on or about September 30, 2024, and was discovered on September 18, 2025. The incident may have resulted in unauthorized access to certain systems containing personal information. The firm reported that eight Maine residents were affected.

The information potentially involved includes names or other personal identifiers in combination with additional sensitive data. Written notification to affected individuals was provided on February 6, 2026.

Tuggle Duggins P.A. reported that it is offering affected individuals 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through Experian.

Federman & Sherwood is investigating whether Tuggle Duggins P.A. implemented reasonable cybersecurity safeguards, whether the incident could have been prevented, and whether individuals impacted by the breach may have legal claims.
