Travis County Credit Union Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

August 4, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood, a national consumer protection law firm, is investigating the Travis County Credit Union data breach following a notification filed with the Texas Attorney General.

According to the filing, the Travis County Credit Union data breach affected approximately 2,996 Texas residents, with additional individuals potentially affected nationwide. The information potentially exposed includes names, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, government-issued identification numbers, financial account information, and dates of birth. Affected individuals were notified through U.S. Mail and a posting on the credit union’s website.

The exposure of this combination of personally identifiable and financial information may significantly increase the risk of identity theft, financial fraud, tax fraud, and unauthorized account access.
