TIMEC Oil & Gas, Inc. Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (August 1, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces that it is investigating a data security incident involving TIMEC Oil & Gas, Inc., which was recently reported to the California Attorney General.

According to the official notice, TIMEC discovered unauthorized access to its internal ERP system between April 7 and April 10, 2025, after becoming aware that certain employees’ direct deposit information had been altered to reflect incorrect banking details. An investigation determined that an external actor had accessed files containing sensitive personal information belonging to TIMEC employees.

Upon discovering the incident, TIMEC took immediate action to secure its systems, launched a forensic investigation, and began enhancing its cybersecurity infrastructure. The company has stated that there is no evidence to date that the compromised information has been misused.

As a precaution, TIMEC is offering affected individuals 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through Cyberscout, a TransUnion company specializing in fraud assistance and remediation.

Federman & Sherwood is actively investigating this breach to determine whether adequate safeguards were in place and whether affected individuals may be entitled to legal recourse.

The exposed information potentially included:

  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Financial account information
  • Other sensitive information
