Think Tax Solutions Inc. Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (June 27, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into a recently disclosed data breach involving Think Tax Solutions Inc., a tax preparation service provider. The incident was reported to the California Attorney General’s Office and involves unauthorized access to sensitive personal information stored within a third-party software platform used by the company to file tax returns.
According to the notification sent to impacted individuals, the breach occurred in November 2024 when an unauthorized actor accessed and downloaded client data from Think Tax’s software platform. Although there is no indication that the information has been fraudulently used, Think Tax is offering 12 months of free credit monitoring and identity protection services through Cyberscout, a TransUnion company specializing in identity recovery and fraud remediation.
