The Hiller Companies LLC (“Hiller”) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (August 29, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces that it is investigating a data breach involving The Hiller Companies LLC (“Hiller”), a Mobile, Alabama-based company.
According to a notice filed with the Attorney General of California, Hiller discovered that on or about December 18, 2024, unknown actors gained unauthorized access to its systems and copied certain files from its network. Hiller became aware of the incident on June 13, 2025 and engaged leading cybersecurity experts to investigate. Following a comprehensive review, it was determined that the compromised data may include highly sensitive personal information
While there is currently no evidence that this information has been misused, Hiller has begun notifying affected individuals and is offering 12 months of complimentary identity theft protection and credit monitoring services through Cyberscout, a TransUnion company.
The firm is also encouraging individuals to remain vigilant by monitoring account activity, reviewing free credit reports, and considering fraud alerts or security freezes with the credit reporting agencies.
