The Children’s Center of Hamden, Inc. (“TCCOH”) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (August 29, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces that it is investigating the recent data breach involving The Children’s Center of Hamden, Inc. (“TCCOH”), a nonprofit organization based in Hamden, Connecticut.

According to a notice filed with the Attorney General of Maine, TCCOH discovered suspicious activity in its systems on December 28, 2024. With the assistance of independent cybersecurity experts, TCCOH determined that certain files may have been accessed or acquired without authorization. On June 29, 2025, the organization confirmed that personal and protected health information of certain employees and clients may have been compromised.

The data potentially exposed varies by individual but may include names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state identification numbers, biometric data, medical information, health insurance details, and other protected health information.

On August 28, 2025, TCCOH began notifying affected individuals, including approximately three Maine residents. Impacted individuals are being offered complimentary identity protection and credit monitoring services.
