Sunsweet Growers Inc. Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (September 5, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces an investigation into a data breach involving Sunsweet Growers Inc., headquartered in Yuba City, California.
According to a notice filed with the California Attorney General’s Office, Sunsweet Growers Inc. discovered on December 11, 2024, that certain computer systems had been rendered inaccessible due to unauthorized access. An investigation determined that an outside actor had gained entry into Sunsweet’s systems, potentially exposing files containing sensitive personal information.
The information that may have been affected includes certain categories of data related to current and former employees. While Sunsweet reported that there is no evidence the information was misused, the company stated it could not rule out access and, therefore, issued this notice out of an abundance of caution.
To help protect affected individuals, Sunsweet is offering 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity restoration services through Cyberscout. Impacted individuals have been mailed instructions on how to activate these services.
