Sunrise Company Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
August 3, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood, a national consumer protection law firm, is investigating the Sunrise Company data breach following a cybersecurity incident that may have compromised sensitive personal information.
According to the consumer notice, Sunrise Company recently detected suspicious activity within its computer systems and immediately launched an investigation. The investigation determined that, on April 23, 2026, an unauthorized actor gained access to Sunrise’s network and acquired certain files. Following a comprehensive review of the affected data, Sunrise determined that certain individuals’ personal information was contained within the impacted files and began notifying affected individuals.
The notice states that the information involved includes an individual’s name together with additional categories of personal information that vary by recipient. Sunrise reports that there is currently no evidence that the information was targeted or misused or that identity theft or fraud has occurred as a result of the incident. As a precaution, the company is offering affected individuals 24 months of complimentary Experian IdentityWorks credit monitoring and identity restoration services, including identity restoration assistance and up to $1 million in identity theft insurance. Enrollment is available through October 31, 2026.
