South Coast Pediatrics Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (August 15, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces that it has launched an investigation into South Coast Pediatrics, a California-based healthcare provider, following the company’s recent disclosure of a significant data breach to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
According to the HHS breach portal, South Coast Pediatrics reported that on August 5, 2025, it suffered a hacking/IT incident involving unauthorized access to its network server. The breach exposed the sensitive personal and medical information of approximately 7,000 patients. Protected health information (PHI) potentially compromised includes names, medical records, and other confidential data entrusted to the provider.
