SogoTrade, Inc Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (May 12, 2025) – On or around March 18, 2025, SogoTrade became aware that a phishing email containing malicious software led to unauthorized access to four employee email accounts. The unauthorized access is believed to have occurred between approximately May 8, 2024, and May 22, 2024. A comprehensive investigation conducted by an independent third-party cybersecurity firm confirmed the details of the incident.

Following the discovery, Sogo Trade conducted a review of its phishing response procedures and implemented enhanced security awareness training for its staff.

To help support affected individuals, SogoTrade has arranged for Cyberscout, a TransUnion company specializing in identity protection and fraud remediation, to provide complimentary identity monitoring services for one year. These services include credit file monitoring and alerts for 12 months following enrollment, as well as access to professional fraud support in the event of suspected or confirmed identity theft.

Federman & Sherwood is actively investigating the data breach to assess the complete extent of the incident, including whether additional information was compromised and the potential wider consequences. The firm advises all impacted individuals and organizations to stay alert and take appropriate steps to protect their personal, medical, and financial data.
