Skirball Cultural Center Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (July 22, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces it is investigating a data breach recently reported by Skirball Cultural Center to the California Attorney General. According to the notice, Skirball discovered unauthorized access to its systems between May 2 and May 4, 2025, resulting in the potential compromise of sensitive personal information.

Skirball detected unusual activity on its systems and promptly initiated a comprehensive investigation with cybersecurity experts. The investigation concluded that an unauthorized party likely copied certain files from Skirball’s systems. The organization completed its internal review of the affected files on June 18, 2025, and began notifying individuals on July 18, 2025.

The compromised information may include consumers’ names in combination with other confidential data elements. While there is no current evidence of identity theft or fraud, Skirball is offering complimentary identity protection services, including credit monitoring and identity restoration services through Experian, for up to 24 months.

Affected individuals are urged to take precautions by enrolling in the offered protection services and monitoring their financial accounts. Enrollment details were included in the consumer notification letter sent by Skirball.

Federman & Sherwood is investigating this matter to determine whether Skirball Cultural Center had adequate cybersecurity measures in place and whether it met its legal obligations in safeguarding consumer data.
