Rodenburg Law Firm Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
April 28, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving Rodenburg Law Firm following a notification filed with the Attorney General of Maine.
According to the notice, Rodenburg Law Firm identified unusual activity within its network on or about August 26, 2025. The firm launched an investigation and determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to its network environment for a limited period of time and accessed certain files.
Following a comprehensive review completed on or about March 20, 2026, the firm determined that sensitive personal information may have been exposed. The potentially impacted information includes individuals’ names in combination with Social Security numbers, dates of birth, payment card information, and certain medical-related information.
In response, Rodenburg Law Firm engaged cybersecurity experts, notified law enforcement, and implemented additional safeguards to strengthen its systems. The firm is also offering affected individuals twelve (12) months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through Cyberscout, a TransUnion company.
