Retail Merchandising Services, Inc. Data Breach – Investigation by Federman & Sherwood
March 20, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving Retail Merchandising Services, Inc. following a notification filed with the Maine Attorney General.
According to the filing, Retail Merchandising Services detected unusual activity within its email environment in January 2026. An investigation determined that a single email account was accessed without authorization between November 24, 2025 and January 7, 2026.
Following a review of the affected data, the company determined that certain personal information may have been exposed. Notification to affected individuals was completed on or about March 2, 2026.
Retail Merchandising Services has reported that it has implemented additional security measures and is offering 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through Cyberscout.
