Remarket Space Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (December 1, 2025) – Federman & Sherwood, a national law firm focusing on data breach and consumer privacy matters, is investigating a cybersecurity incident involving Remarket Space, following the company’s recent filing with the Attorney General of Maine.
According to the filing, Remarket Space experienced an external system breach on October 26, 2025, when an unauthorized party accessed data stored in the company’s AWS S3 file storage system. The company discovered the suspicious activity on October 28, 2025, and immediately initiated an internal investigation to determine the nature and scope of the incident.
As part of the ongoing review, Remarket Space determined that the exposed data included images of driver’s licenses for some users. While the investigation is still underway, the company is notifying all potentially affected users out of an abundance of caution. A total of 7,146 individuals were affected nationwide, including four Maine residents. At this time, the company reports no evidence of fraud or misuse of the accessed data.
Remarket Space states that no payment card information was compromised, as such data is maintained in a separate, secure system. In response to the incident, the company has secured the affected systems, reset access credentials, implemented enhanced access protections, notified regulatory authorities, and increased system monitoring and logging.
Unlike many other breaches, Remarket Space is not offering complimentary identity theft protection services, but has advised affected individuals to take precautionary steps such as monitoring financial statements, updating passwords, enabling multi-factor authentication, and considering fraud alerts or credit freezes with major consumer reporting agencies. Electronic notifications were issued to impacted Maine residents on October 28, 2025.
Federman & Sherwood is investigating whether Remarket Space had appropriate data security safeguards in place, whether the breach could have been prevented, and what legal rights may be available to those affected.
The compromised information may have included:
- Full name
- Driver’s license information
- Other sensitive information
