Pollard & Associates (“Pollard”) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (September 17, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces an investigation into a reported data breach involving Pollard & Associates (“Pollard”), a firm that administers retirement plans on behalf of employer groups.
According to a notice filed with the Maine Attorney General, Pollard detected suspicious activity on its network on or around May 15, 2025. A forensic investigation determined that certain files had been copied without authorization on April 8, 2025. These files were later confirmed to contain sensitive personal information.
On July 15, 2025, Pollard completed a review of the affected files and identified the impacted individuals. On August 8, 2025, Pollard began notifying its clients, and on September 16, 2025, the company issued written notices to 18 Maine residents. The information exposed may have included names, Social Security numbers, and/or financial account information.
Pollard has offered impacted individuals 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring services through IDX. In addition, Pollard has provided guidance on steps to help protect against identity theft, including how to place a fraud alert or credit freeze, monitor financial accounts, and obtain free credit reports. The company also reported the event to federal law enforcement and is enhancing its security safeguards and employee training.
