Pacific Symphony Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (November 18, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces that it is investigating a data breach involving Pacific Symphony, following the organization’s filing of a data breach notification with the California Attorney General and notices mailed to affected individuals.

According to the notification, Pacific Symphony was alerted on August 21, 2025, to an unauthorized third-party accessing part of its IT network. The organization’s IT team responded promptly, terminating unauthorized access and securing the network. Pacific Symphony then engaged third-party cybersecurity experts to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the scope and impact of the incident.

The initial investigation did not identify evidence that sensitive personal information had been affected. However, further review later determined that the unauthorized third party had the opportunity to extract data from a limited part of Pacific Symphony’s IT environment. Pacific Symphony subsequently conducted an extensive document review, including a manual review of individual documents, to identify the individuals whose information was potentially involved and who needed to be notified.

The types of information that may have been included in the affected files vary by individual, but may include an individual’s full name in combination with one or more additional personal data elements.

While Pacific Symphony has stated it has no evidence at this time that any personal information has been misused, it is notifying affected individuals out of an abundance of caution and advising them to take steps to protect themselves.

To assist those impacted, Pacific Symphony is offering 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft insurance through Experian IdentityWorks. The services include credit monitoring, identity restoration assistance, and up to $1 million in identity theft insurance. Impacted individuals have been provided with activation instructions, an enrollment deadline, and access to Experian’s customer care team for questions or support.

Pacific Symphony has also reported that it is taking additional steps to enhance its security measures, including improvements to its monitoring, authentication, and overall cybersecurity posture, to help prevent similar incidents in the future.

Federman & Sherwood is investigating whether Pacific Symphony implemented appropriate safeguards to protect individuals’ personal information and whether those affected may be entitled to compensation, extended identity monitoring, or other legal remedies.

The compromised information may have included:

  • Full name
  • Social Security number
  • Other sensitive information
