Ojo Caliente Holdings Inc. (“OCHI”) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (August 19, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces that it is investigating a data breach involving Ojo Caliente Holdings Inc. (“OCHI”), a hospitality company headquartered in Ojo Caliente, New Mexico.
According to a notice filed with the Maine Attorney General, OCHI discovered unusual activity within its computer network on or about June 20, 2025. The company immediately launched an investigation with the help of outside forensic experts and legal counsel. The investigation determined that between June 18, 2025, and June 21, 2025, an unauthorized actor may have viewed or copied certain files containing sensitive personal information.
On August 6, 2025, OCHI completed its review and determined that the compromised data varied by individual but may have included names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, bank account details, medical information, passport numbers or other government-issued identification, and health insurance information.
In response, OCHI has begun notifying potentially impacted individuals and is offering complimentary single-bureau credit monitoring and fraud assistance services through Cyberscout, a TransUnion company specializing in identity theft protection. Impacted individuals have been provided instructions to enroll in these services at no cost for 12 months.
OCHI has also set up a dedicated assistance line for affected individuals and reports that it has taken steps to enhance the security of its systems to reduce the risk of similar incidents in the future.
