OB-GYN Associates Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (November 5, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into a data breach involving OB-GYN Associates, following the company’s filing of a data breach notification with the Maine Attorney General and notices distributed to affected individuals.
According to the notification, OB-GYN Associates detected unauthorized access to its network environment on or about August 7, 2025. The organization promptly engaged external forensic specialists to secure its systems and determine the scope of the incident. On September 29, 2025, the investigation concluded that an unauthorized third party acquired certain personal information during the event.
The information that may have been compromised varies by individual, but may include name, Social Security number, driver’s license number, and medical information.
Although OB-GYN Associates reported that it has not identified any instances of fraud or misuse, the organization is notifying impacted individuals so they may take steps to protect themselves.
As part of its response, OB-GYN Associates is offering affected individuals 12 months of
complimentary credit monitoring, credit report access, credit score monitoring, and proactive fraud support services. These services are being provided at no cost to the individuals impacted.
Federman & Sherwood is currently investigating the incident to determine whether affected individuals may be entitled to compensation, identity monitoring beyond what has been offered, or other legal remedies.
The compromised information may have included:
- Full name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license number
- Medical information
- Other sensitive information
