Nottingham Village Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
May 26, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood, a national consumer protection law firm, is investigating the Nottingham Village data breach, a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to sensitive personal information that was reported to the Attorney General of Maine.
According to the notice, Nottingham Village detected unauthorized access to its network on or about November 9, 2025, as the result of a cybersecurity incident. The investigation determined that certain files may have been accessed or removed by unauthorized individuals between November 8, 2025, and November 9, 2025. On or about May 12, 2026, Nottingham Village determined that the impacted files may have contained sensitive personal information.
Cybersecurity incidents involving healthcare and senior living organizations are particularly concerning because they may expose sensitive personal and medical information, increasing the risk of identity theft and fraud.
Federman & Sherwood is actively investigating whether Nottingham Village implemented reasonable cybersecurity safeguards and whether this data security incident could have been prevented.
