New York Blood Center Enterprises (“NYBCe”) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (September 8, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces an investigation into a data breach recently disclosed by New York Blood Center Enterprises (“NYBCe”), a nonprofit organization headquartered in Rye, New York.

According to a filing with the Attorney General of Maine, NYBCe reported that between January 20 and January 26, 2025, an unauthorized party gained access to its network and obtained copies of certain files. On June 30, 2025, NYBCe determined that personal information may have been compromised. The organization has since confirmed that the breach has affected at least eight Maine residents.

On September 5, 2025, NYBCe began mailing written notices to affected individuals. The nonprofit is offering one year of complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft protection services through Experian to individuals whose Social Security numbers or driver’s license numbers were involved

NYBCe stated it has enhanced its security protocols and monitoring practices to help prevent future incidents.
