NCH Corporation Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (December 8, 2025) – Federman & Sherwood, a national law firm that concentrates on data breach and privacy litigation, is investigating a cybersecurity incident involving NCH Corporation, following the company’s recent filing with the Attorney General of Maine.
According to the filing and mailed consumer notifications, NCH Corporation learned that an unauthorized actor exploited a previously unknown vulnerability within Oracle’s E-Business Suite (“EBS”) to remove information from numerous organizations’ Oracle EBS implementations in August 2025, including NCH.
Once NCH became aware of the incident, the company initiated its response protocols, secured its Oracle EBS environment, and began a forensic investigation with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity specialists. NCH also notified federal law enforcement and is supporting an ongoing criminal inquiry.
The investigation determined that an unauthorized actor obtained files from NCH’s Oracle EBS application in mid-August 2025. On November 25, 2025, NCH completed its review of the affected data and determined that files contained personal information, including names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and benefits enrollment information.
On December 5, 2025, NCH mailed written notification letters to affected Maine residents and offered one year of complimentary IDX identity protection and credit monitoring services, including credit monitoring, identity theft restoration assistance, and insurance coverage. A dedicated call center has been established to assist affected individuals with questions and enrollment support.
Federman & Sherwood is investigating whether NCH Corporation maintained reasonable data security measures, whether the Oracle EBS vulnerability could have been mitigated sooner, and what legal remedies may be available to affected individuals.
The compromised information may have included:
- Full name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Benefits enrollment information
- Other sensitive information
