Moorhead Law Group, PLLC (MLG) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (April 11, 2025) – On January 8, 2024, MLG identified suspicious activity involving a firm email account and promptly launched an investigation. This included engaging third-party cybersecurity experts to help ensure a thorough and effective response. The investigation determined that an unauthorized individual had accessed the account, and certain information may have been viewed or acquired between December 26, 2023, and January 8, 2024.
Following this discovery, MLG began working diligently—alongside external specialists—to identify what data may have been at risk and to determine the types of information involved. Due to the complex and detailed nature of the data review, this process required considerable time and effort to thoroughly analyze the affected information, identify potentially impacted individuals, and verify the data associated with them.
This review was completed on or around March 25, 2025. MLG then took steps to confirm current contact details to ensure this notice could be provided to affected individuals.
Federman & Sherwood is thoroughly investigating the incident to determine the complete extent of the breach, including whether additional data may have been compromised and how widespread the exposure may be. The firm urges all impacted individuals and organizations to remain vigilant and take proactive steps to safeguard their personal and financial information.
The type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Address
- Date of birth
