Markowitz, Ringel, Trusty & Hartog, P.A. Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
April 17, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving Markowitz, Ringel, Trusty & Hartog, P.A. following a notification filed with the Attorney General of Maine.
According to the notice, the firm experienced a cybersecurity incident involving an external system breach. The breach reportedly occurred on or about August 8, 2025, and was discovered on February 6, 2026.
The investigation determined that certain personal information may have been accessed by an unauthorized party. The potentially affected data includes an individual’s name in combination with other sensitive personal identifiers.
