Maritz Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
March 2, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving Maritz, following a notification filed with the Maine Attorney General.
According to the filing, Maritz identified unauthorized access to its Oracle E-Business Suite environment stemming from a previously unknown vulnerability in the Oracle EBS application. The company determined that an unauthorized third party accessed and obtained files from its Oracle EBS environment between August 10, 2025 and August 13, 2025. The vulnerability was publicly disclosed in October 2025.
The information potentially involved includes individuals’ names and additional personal information depending on the individual. Maritz reported that it is offering a complimentary 24-month membership of Experian IdentityWorks credit monitoring services.
Federman & Sherwood is investigating whether adequate cybersecurity safeguards were implemented to protect sensitive personal information and whether affected individuals may have legal claims related to this data security incident.
