LiveRez Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (November 24, 2025) – Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving LiveRez, a vacation rental management software provider, following the company’s notification to the Attorney General of Maine regarding unauthorized access to its software platform.
According to the notice, LiveRez detected suspicious activity within its platform and initiated an investigation with the assistance of a cybersecurity firm. The investigation determined that an unauthorized actor accessed the LiveRez platform between September 18, 2025, and October 3, 2025, and acquired certain data stored on the system.
On October 21, 2025, LiveRez confirmed that the accessed data included names and payment card numbers belonging to approximately five Maine residents, as well as related reservation and payment details such as billing address, phone number, email address, card expiration date, and card verification code.
LiveRez began mailing written notifications to affected Maine residents on November 20, 2025, and established a dedicated toll-free call center to address questions from individuals impacted by the breach. The company has stated that it is implementing additional security measures to strengthen its systems and prevent future incidents.
Federman & Sherwood is investigating whether LiveRez employed adequate data security measures to safeguard consumer payment information and whether affected individuals may be entitled to legal remedies under state and federal data protection laws.
The compromised information may have included:
- Full name
- Address
- Email address
- Payment information (card number, CVV code, card expiration)
- Other sensitive information
