Kelly & Associates Insurance Group, Inc. “Kelly Benefits” Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (April 9, 2025) – Kelly Benefits recently identified suspicious activity within its environment. In response, Kelly Benefits promptly launched an investigation, enlisting the help of third-party forensic specialists to determine the nature and extent of the activity. The investigation revealed that unauthorized access occurred between December 12, 2024, and December 17, 2024, during which certain files were copied and removed. Following this discovery, Kelly Benefits conducted a thorough review of all affected files to identify the information contained within and determine which individuals were impacted. Upon completing this review, Kelly Benefits cross-referenced its internal records to match the affected individuals with the appropriate clients or carriers. This analysis was finalized on March 3, 2025.
Subsequently, Kelly Benefits notified the relevant carriers and clients and offered to notify the impacted parties on their behalf. To date, there is no evidence of misuse of any information related to the incident. After learning of the breach, Kelly Benefits acted swiftly to investigate, assess the security of its systems, and identify potentially affected individuals. The company also notified the Federal Bureau of Investigation about the event. Kelly Benefits remains committed to information security and will continue to review and enhance its already robust security policies, procedures, and tools.
