Insurance Office of America (“IOA”) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
January 19, 2026– Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving Insurance Office of America (“IOA”), following a notification filed with the Maine Attorney General.
According to the filing, IOA discovered that certain internal systems were affected by a phishing-related cybersecurity incident on or about June 30, 2025. An investigation determined that an unauthorized party may have accessed or acquired data stored on IOA’s systems between June 25 and June 30, 2025.
The information potentially involved includes names and other personal or sensitive information, which may vary by individual. IOA reported that it is offering 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through Epiq.
