iBUYPOWER Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

June 15, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood, a national consumer protection law firm, is investigating the iBUYPOWER data breach, a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to sensitive employee information that was reported to the California Attorney General.

According to the notice, American Future Technology Corporation d/b/a iBUYPOWER discovered unauthorized activity within its IT network on June 21, 2025. The company immediately launched an investigation, retained cybersecurity specialists, and took steps to contain the incident and restore operations.

The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party accessed certain personal information maintained within iBUYPOWER’s network environment. The company further determined that data stored within its systems may have been exposed on or about July 25, 2025.

The information potentially exposed includes mailing addresses, telephone numbers, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver’s license numbers, passport numbers, alien registration numbers, employment authorization document information, identification card numbers, birth certificate information, tax identification numbers, bank account information, medical information, and health insurance information.

The exposure of this combination of personal, financial, employment, and healthcare information presents a significant risk of identity theft, financial fraud, tax fraud, account takeover attempts, and other forms of misuse.

Federman & Sherwood is actively investigating whether iBUYPOWER implemented reasonable cybersecurity safeguards to protect employee information and whether this data security incident could have been prevented. The firm is also evaluating potential legal claims on behalf of individuals affected by the iBUYPOWER data breach.

The company reported that it engaged cybersecurity professionals to investigate the incident, enhanced security measures, and is providing complimentary Experian IdentityWorks identity protection and credit monitoring services to affected individuals.

Consumers who received a notice regarding the iBUYPOWER data breach or who believe their personal information may have been compromised are encouraged to monitor financial accounts, tax records, healthcare statements, and credit reports for suspicious activity.
