Harbin Clinic, LLC and Nationwide Recovery Services, Inc. (“NRS”) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (May 19, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into a data breach involving Nationwide Recovery Services, Inc. (“NRS”), a third-party vendor that provides debt collection services for Harbin Clinic, LLC.

According to public notices, NRS experienced unauthorized access to its IT systems between July 5, 2024, and July 11, 2024. During this period, certain files were illegally copied from its network. Harbin Clinic was notified in early 2025 that patient data may have been compromised as part of this breach. Affected information may include names, addresses, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and/or financial account information of individuals associated with Harbin Clinic accounts.

Although Harbin Clinic’s own systems were not directly affected, the incident raises serious concerns about data security practices and vendor oversight. Federman & Sherwood is working to determine the full scope of the breach and whether affected individuals are entitled to compensation or other remedies.

The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Address
  • Financial Account Information
  • Other Sensitive Information
