Gym Management Services, Inc. Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
January 16, 2026– Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving Gym Management Services, Inc. (d/b/a certain Gold’s Gym Southern California locations), following a notification filed with the Attorney General of California.
According to the notice, the company identified unusual activity on its computer network on or about August 16, 2025. An investigation determined that certain files stored on its network may have been accessed without authorization between July 25, 2025, and August 26, 2025.
The information potentially involved includes individuals’ names in combination with additional sensitive personal information. Gym Management Services reported that it has no reason to believe the information has been misused and that affected individuals were offered 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services.
Federman & Sherwood is investigating whether Gym Management Services, Inc. implemented reasonable cybersecurity safeguards, whether the unauthorized access could have been prevented, and whether impacted individuals may have legal claims.
