Fluke Corporation Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
May 26, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood, a national consumer protection law firm, is investigating the Fluke Corporation data breach, a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to sensitive employee information that was reported to the Attorney General of Maine.
According to the notice, Fluke Corporation learned on or about September 29, 2025, that a criminal actor exploited a vulnerability in a third-party business application used by the company. The vulnerability reportedly affected multiple companies across different industries.
Fluke determined that the threat actor had access to a limited segment of its network between August 10, 2025, and October 7, 2025. Following a forensic investigation and data review completed on or about May 8, 2026, the company determined that sensitive personal information may have been impacted.
The information potentially exposed includes Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and, for certain individuals, information regarding disability status.
Cybersecurity incidents involving third-party software vulnerabilities are especially concerning because they may expose highly sensitive employee and personal data to unauthorized actors, increasing the risk of identity theft, fraud, and privacy-related harms.
Federman & Sherwood is actively investigating whether Fluke Corporation implemented adequate cybersecurity safeguards and whether this data security incident could have been prevented. The firm is also evaluating potential legal claims on behalf of individuals affected by the Fluke Corporation data breach.
Fluke reported that it engaged cybersecurity and forensic specialists, patched the affected vulnerability, reset administrative credentials, removed malicious accounts, enhanced endpoint monitoring capabilities, and is offering affected individuals twenty-four (24) months of complimentary identity theft protection and credit monitoring services through Equifax and Epiq.
Consumers who received a notice regarding the Fluke Corporation data breach or who believe their personal information may have been compromised are encouraged to closely monitor their financial accounts and credit reports for suspicious activity.
The potentially compromised information may include:
- Names
- Social Security numbers
- Dates of birth
- Other sensitive information
