Financial Foundations, Inc. Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

May 20, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood, a national consumer protection law firm, is investigating the Financial Foundations data breach, a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to sensitive personal information that was reported to the Attorney General of Maine.

According to the notice, Financial Foundations, Inc. discovered on or about April 15, 2026, that an external system breach involving unauthorized access to company systems had occurred. The incident reportedly took place on or about March 19, 2025.

The information potentially exposed includes personal information involving individuals’ names and other sensitive identifying information.

Cybersecurity incidents involving financial services organizations are particularly concerning because they may expose highly sensitive personal and financial information, increasing the risk of identity theft, financial fraud, and misuse of confidential data.
