Vintage Financial Group Data Breach – Federman & Sherwood Investigates
Oklahoma City, OK (February 7, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into Vintage Financial Group with respect to their recent data breach. Recently, Vintage Financial Group reported to the Attorney General of Maine that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. According to the breach notice, Vantage recently became aware of unusual activity involving an employee’s email account. As a result, Vantage launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident. Through its investigation, Vantage confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been viewed and copied by an unauthorized third party between August 28, 2024, and September 5, 2024. As a result, Vantage began a review of the data to determine what information had been impacted as well as identify the specific individuals affected. On December 5, 2024, Vantage completed its preliminary review. While the information impacted varies depending on the individual, the type of information potentially exposed includes: individuals name, Social Security number, driver’s license number and financial account information.
