Oklahoma City, OK (January 29, 2025) – Federman & Sherwood investigates United Food and Commercial Workers Local 135 (“UFCW”) for data breach. On January 28, 2025, UFCW filed notice of a data breach with the Attorney General of Maine. UFCW experienced a cybersecurity incident involving their network on August 23, 2024. UFCW immediately launched an investigation into the incident which was completed on January 15, 2025. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to the UFCW’s network and accessed certain individuals’ personal and sensitive information. On January 28, 2025, UFCW began to send out data breach notification letters to all individuals impacted by the data breach.

• Other sensitive information

Headquartered in San Diego, California, the union advocates for fair wages, benefits, and workplace protections for its members, negotiating collective bargaining agreements with major employers.
