Federman & Sherwood Investigates OrthopedicsNY, LLP for Data Breach

Oklahoma City, OK (November 6, 2024) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into OrthopedicsNY, LLP with respect to their recent data breach. On or about December 28, 2023, OrthopedicsNY, LLP detected it was the target of a data security incident. An unauthorized third party attempted to infiltrate OrthopedicsNY’s computer network and demand a ransom payment. Upon detecting the incident, OrthopedicsNY, LLP moved quickly to secure its network environment and launched a thorough investigation. The investigation determined that the following personal information was accessed: individuals name, Social Security number, date of birth, medical information, health insurance information, driver’s license number, address, financial account information and passport number.
