Federman & Sherwood Investigates Newport Harbor Pathology Medical Group for Data Breach

Oklahoma City, OK (January 21, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into Newport Harbor Pathology Medical Group with respect to their recent data breach. A data security incident at Newport Harbor Pathology Medical Group, which also operates as Orange County Medical Group Pathology, Mission Laguna Pathology Medical Group, and Barr Dermatopathology, has potentially jeopardized the security of patient information. Unauthorized access was detected on November 11, 2024, and further investigation revealed that the breach occurred between October 8, 2024 and November 11, 2024. The compromised data includes sensitive personal information such as names, Social Security numbers, birth dates, addresses, medical diagnoses and test results, medical record numbers, driver’s license numbers, government-issued identification numbers, and health insurance details.
