Oklahoma City, OK (December 6, 2024) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into New River Electrical Corp. with respect to their recent data breach. On May 6, 2024, New River identified indications of potential system encryption due to a sophisticated cyber-attack by an unknown actor. New River promptly launched an extensive investigation to determine the nature and scope of the event and worked quickly to secure its systems, restore to continue to operate without disruption and launched an investigate to determine whether this event resulted in any impact to information housed on its systems by the unknown actor. The investigation determined that the unknown actor gained access to certain systems between April 30, 2024, and May 6, 2024, and certain data on those systems was potentially viewed and downloaded. The following personal information was exposed: individuals name, Social Security number, driver’s license number, financial account number, or credit or debit card number.
