Federman & Sherwood Investigates Mass General Brigham Health Plan for Data Breach

Oklahoma City, OK (November 5, 2024) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into Mass General Brigham Health Plan with respect to their recent data breach. On August 23, 2024, it was discovered that a customer service representative inadvertently shared confidential data in an email to a member, exposing network status details along with the providers’ sensitive information. Once Mass General Brigham Health Plan learned of the activity, they immediately launched an investigation into the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that the following personal information was involved: individuals name, address, tax identification number, and Social Security number.
