Federman & Sherwood Investigates Martin Sprocket & Gear for Data Breach

Oklahoma City, OK (November 18, 2024) – Federman & Sherwood investigates Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc. (“Martin”) for data breach. On December 16, 2024, Martin filed notice of a data breach with the Attorney General of California. Martin experienced a cybersecurity incident involving their network on or about July 29, 2024. Martin immediately launched an investigation into the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to Martin’s network and accessed certain individuals’ personal and sensitive information. On December 16, 2024, Martin will begin to send out data breach notification letters to all individuals affected by the data breach.

The type of information potentially exposed includes:

• Name
• Social Security number
• Date of birth
• Driver’s license number
• Financial account and payment card information
• Health information associated with insurance plan coverage

Martin Sprocket & Gear is a family owned, privately held industrial machinery manufacturer headquartered in Arlington, Texas. Martin offers a wide range of products, including power transmission components, material handling products, industrial hand tools, idlers, and heavy-duty conveyor pulleys. Martin provides its products to a variety of industries such as mining, wastewater, salt, ethanol, sugar, and cement.
