Oklahoma City, OK (November 27, 2024) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into Farmers New World Life Insurance Company with respect to their recent data breach. Infosys McCamish Systems, LLC, a provider of back-office support services for Farmers New World Life Insurance Company, experienced a data breach involving ransomware encryption on its systems. Unauthorized access to the data occurred between October 29, 2023, and November 2, 2023. The breach was identified on November 2, 2023, prompting an investigation with third-party cybersecurity experts and notification to law enforcement. The investigation revealed that the personal information of 25,867 individuals associated with Farmers New World Life Insurance Company was accessed without authorization. The data compromised in the Infosys McCamish Systems data breach included individuals name, address, Social Security number, driver’s license number, medical information, and date of birth. Farmers New World Life Insurance Company was informed on May 28, 2024 that data related to its life insurance policies and annuities was impacted in the breach, and Infosys McCamish Systems has since worked on assessing and providing notifications to affected individuals.
