Oklahoma City, OK (January 3, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into Easterseals Rehabilitation Center Evansville with respect to their recent data breach. Easterseals Rehabilitation Center Evansville has reported a data security incident that may have exposed sensitive personal information of certain individuals. According to a data breach notice posted online, the organization experienced a “network disruption” on August 28, 2024. Upon discovering the issue, Easterseals Rehabilitation Center Evansville disconnected network access and hired a third-party cybersecurity firm to conduct a forensic investigation, which concluded on October 14, 2024. The center is now in the process of finishing its review of the data involved and identifying affected individuals to notify them through formal letters. The compromised information includes personal details such as Social Security numbers, health insurance data, medical information, and, for certain individuals, financial details.
