Federman & Sherwood Investigates Conceptions Reproductive Associates of Colorado for Data Breach

Oklahoma City, OK (December 18, 2024) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into Conceptions Reproductive Associates of Colorado with respect to their recent data breach. Conceptions Reproductive Associates, Inc. of Colorado, is informing current and former patients, along with their partners, about a data breach. The incident, attributed to a ransomware attack, involved unauthorized access and extraction of patient information from the practice’s legacy systems in early April 2024. An investigation determined the extent of the attack, allowing the practice to notify affected individuals. Patients have been informed via mailed notification letters, and a notice has been posted online to help reach others potentially impacted by the breach. The compromised data varied among individuals and might include personal identifiers such as names, dates of birth, and contact details, along with clinical information like test results and diagnostic imaging. A minimal number of individuals may have also had other sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers or financial data, compromised.
