Oklahoma City, OK (November 27, 2024) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists with respect to their recent data breach. Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists, also known as Vann Virginia Center for Orthopaedics, PC, has disclosed a data breach affecting 15,264 individuals. The breach, which involved unauthorized access to a corporate email account, was discovered on August 6, 2024. An investigation revealed that sensitive data, including personal and health information, may have been accessed by a third-party actor from June 20 to August 6, 2024. Information potentially exposed in the Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists data breach includes individuals name, date of birth, Social Security number, driver’s license or other government ID number, credit/debit card details, and health insurance and medical information.
