Oklahoma City, OK (October 27, 2021) – On October 15, 2021, a securities class action lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado against Lightning eMotors, Inc. (NYSE: ZEV and ZEV.WS). The complaint alleges violations of federal securities laws, Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Rule 10b-5, including allegations of issuing a series of material or false misrepresentations to the market which had the effect of artificially inflating the market price during the Class Period, which is May 7, 2021 through August 16, 2021. More specifically, Lightning eMotors failed to disclose that the company would record a considerably greater net loss per share in the second quarter of 2021 compared to the second quarter of 2020 and would pull its full year guidance for the remainder of 2021; and that the company exaggerated its financial position and/or prospects. As a result, Lightning eMotors’s public statements were materially false and/or misleading at all relevant times.
The lawsuit seeks to recover damages on behalf of all Lightning eMotors, Inc. investors who purchased common stock during the Class Period. You may move the Court no later than Tuesday, December 14, 2021 to serve as a lead plaintiff for the entire Class.
