Evolve Mortgage Services, LLC Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
February 9, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving Evolve Mortgage Services, LLC, following a notification filed with the Attorney General of California.
According to the notification, Evolve Mortgage Services identified suspicious activity within its environment on or about September 24, 2025, and promptly engaged third-party cybersecurity specialists to investigate. The investigation determined that certain information provided to Evolve in the ordinary course of business by financial institution clients was subject to unauthorized access during a limited period between September 17 and September 24, 2025.
The information potentially involved includes individuals’ names in combination with other personal identifiers, which may vary by affected individual. Evolve Mortgage Services reported that it has no current evidence indicating misuse of the information.
As part of its response, Evolve Mortgage Services stated that it secured its network, implemented additional security measures, and enhanced internal policies and procedures. The company is offering affected individuals 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through Cyberscout, including fraud assistance and identity recovery support.
Federman & Sherwood is investigating whether Evolve Mortgage Services, LLC implemented reasonable cybersecurity safeguards, whether the unauthorized access could have been prevented, and whether individuals impacted by the incident may have legal claims.
