Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (August 8, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces that it is investigating a data breach involving Episciences, Inc., an Idaho-based commercial entity.
According to a filing with the Attorney General of Maine, Episciences experienced an external system breach (hacking) on April 27, 2025. The breach was discovered on June 3, 2025, and an investigation determined that certain personal information may have been accessed without authorization. The impacted data includes names and other personal identifiers.
On August 6, 2025, written notification letters were sent to affected individuals, including at least one Maine resident. Episciences has offered 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity restoration services through TransUnion to help protect affected individuals against potential misuse of their personal information.
