Doyon, Limited Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (June 16, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces that it is investigating a data breach involving Doyon, Limited, one of Alaska’s largest private landholders and regional corporations. According to a notice issued by Doyon, a cybersecurity incident in early April 2024 may have compromised sensitive personal information of employees and individuals affiliated with the company.
On or about April 2, 2024, Doyon discovered that an unauthorized party had accessed and acquired files from its IT systems on April 1, 2024. Following the discovery, Doyon initiated an investigation with the assistance of a third-party incident response firm and notified law enforcement. After an extensive review process completed in 2025, the company confirmed that the affected files contained personal information, including names and other details protected under state privacy laws.
Doyon is offering impacted individuals 24 months of free identity monitoring services through Kroll, including credit monitoring, fraud consultation, and identity theft restoration.
Federman & Sherwood is investigating the scope of this data breach, the adequacy of Doyon’s data protection practices, and whether affected individuals may be entitled to legal recourse.
