Daystar Television Network Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (June 30, 2025) – Federman & Sherwood, a law firm nationally recognized for its data breach and consumer protection investigations, announces it is investigating a cybersecurity incident involving Word of God Fellowship, Inc. d/b/a Daystar Television Network, headquartered in Bedford, Texas.
According to a notification filed with the Maine Attorney General’s Office, Daystar detected unauthorized access to its network environment, with the breach confirmed to have occurred on June 5, 2024. The incident was discovered through a forensic investigation, which concluded that the unauthorized actor removed and accessed files containing sensitive personal information, including full names and Social Security numbers.
Daystar conducted an extensive manual review of the affected data and confirmed on June 5, 2025, that certain individuals’ personal information had been exposed. While the company states it has no evidence of identity fraud related to the breach at this time, it has begun notifying affected individuals and is offering a complimentary membership to Identity Defense Complete, which includes credit monitoring, fraud consultation, and identity theft restoration.
In response, Federman & Sherwood has launched an investigation into the incident to determine the adequacy of Daystar’s data security protocols and whether affected individuals are entitled to compensation or other remedies.
The compromised information may have included:
- Name
- Social Security numbers
- Other sensitive information
